Our Mission

Building upon a strong foundation of experience, partnership and field demonstration, UCFAID empowers communities to responsibly and sustainably care for Vulnerable ones,  for the well-being of humanity.

Our Vision

We imagine a healthy, prosperous world in which communities are forever committed to caring for the Vulnerable and assisting the less privileged, for the long-term benefit of communities and the dignity of all life on Earth.

Our Founder

UCFAID President and Founder, Celestine Ubby’s work began in 1996 when he quit his job on the street to help open Nigeria’s first Vulnerable institution, Ejike High—an experience that inspired him to create UCFAID. When he founded UCFAID in 2020, few had heard of the words inability investing.

Our Partners

When we first began, our vision was to create a vulnerable capital fund for the poor, supported by a global community of philanthropists and businesses willing to take a risk on a new approach to ending poverty. UCFAID’s donors are also our partners because our collaborative approach is to invest together in long-term change.
